The two friends, Andrea Petkovic and Jonathan “Johnny” Heimes, were once considered exceptional talents in German tennis and dreamed of reaching the top of the world rankings. But their paths diverged early on. While Andrea Petkovic rose to the world-class level, Johnny battled cancer and fought for his life. Together, they launched the nonprofit initiative DUMUSSTKÄMPFEN! in 2015.
After more than 12 years, Johnny was finally released from his suffering in 2016. But he did not lose the real battle. Rather, he left the court a winner, having left a lasting legacy with DUMUSSTKÄMPFEN! His initiative lives on through his family and friends and continues to fight for children and teenagers battling cancer.
We at FRAAS support this initiative: We firmly believe that passion and a fighting spirit can move mountains. Even though we didn’t know Johnny personally, his story and his indomitable will deeply move us. Johnny is very close to our hearts.
That’s why we’re supporting DUMUSSTKÄMPFEN!—of course—with what we do best: a special edition collection featuring a scarf, stole, bandana, and hats.
A part of the proceeds from sales goes directly to Johnny’s great initiative.
