Small but impressively sturdy: This compact, wind-resistant umbrella in the FRAAS Plaid check pattern features steel ribs and a steel shaft, as well as an anti-inversion system. Tested in a wind tunnel, it withstands winds of up to 120 km/h without inverting. The 109.2 cm canopy offers ample protection and opens and closes fully automatically at the push of a button. When folded, it’s only 30.5 cm long, so it fits in a purse, backpack, or carry-on bag — ideal for frequent travelers and commuters.
